LOGO It is with great sadness that the WARLCA State Board announces the passing of former WARLCA President Cheri Freeman. Cheri served the Washington Association in many capacities at the State level, elected as the District 3 Representative from 2003-2007, Association Vice President from 2008-2009, and as Association President from 2010-2012. She was also an assistant state steward under Charles Alexander and an assistant district representative under Patrick Pitts. Cheri was named the WARLCA Outstanding Member of the Year in 2013. After her time serving the Union, Cheri faced a number of health issues with the same strength and grace she displayed as a leader of our Association. During that time, she was still active in theater; acting and directing, and playing the flute in concerts. Her courage and willingness to face those issues head on not only was inspirational to all who knew her, but no doubt provided knowledge to her doctors that will help countless others in the future. Cheri is survived by her husband Mitch, retired rural carrier, three children (Tyler, Katie, Bert), twelve grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
The Memorial will be held:
